Maik Tiedemann and other business representatives from the natural resources and industrial sector including Wilo Group, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy AB, SAP and Mercedes-Benz AG, accompanied the ministry officials on the 4-day trip to Sydney and Perth.
A program of site visits, round table discussions, presentations, and business speed-dating with selected local companies and government agencies gave comprehensive insights into existing and planned critical mineral and hydrogen projects. The aim: to identify priority areas where the two countries could connect.
“Talks with the Australian companies have already shown a number of areas in which DMT is keen to cooperate and where the Australian industry could benefit from our vast portfolio,” Maik Tiedemann explained. “Not only DMT’s extensive experience in mining, but also supplementary services, such as our expertise in ammonia handling and the extensive hydrogen competence within the DMT GROUP and TÜV NORD GROUP companies could play a large role.”
This new partnership will help Australia and Germany create new opportunities for clean energy solutions and support them in reaching set climate and energy targets. More information and the Declaration of Intent are available here: https://lnkd.in/gcCsA4SN
